Photovoltaic Power Plants Sveti Nikole 1 and Sveti Nikole 2

Location

The photovoltaic plants are located near Sveti Nikole, in the central part of the Ovche Pole area at an altitude of 305 meters. The city is located 28 kilometers northwest of Shtip, 34 kilometers northeast of Veles and 40 kilometers south of Kumanovo. The field can be reached by the expressway that leads from Shtip to Veles, turning onto the regional road R1204 that leads to Sveti Nikole. The region is characterized by a temperate-continental climate, with a certain influence of a modified Mediterranean climate.

Basic parameters of Sv.Nikole 1

Total installed capacity of 1,048.98 kWp.

The solar radiation has an average annual energy density of solar radiation of 1540 KWh/m2. In order to make maximum use of the available area of the field, 2028 photovoltaic panels with a power of 535 kWp have been placed on a construction at an angle of 25 degrees covering an area of about 5,254.9 m2. Expected annual electricity production is 1,460,270 kWh. The total area of the field is 10,909 m2.

Basic parematers of Sv.Nikole 2

Total installed capacity of 1.098,90 kWp.

The solar radiation has an average annual energy density of solar radiation of 1755,88 KWh/m2. In order to make maximum use of the available area of the field, we have placed1998 photovoltaic panels with a power of 550 kWp each. Expected annual electricity production is 1,563,394,88 kWh. The total area of the field is 11,911m2.

The solar panels in both plants are arranged in rows and oriented to the south.

Impact on the environment

The production of electricity from photovoltaic panels (solar cells) has a positive impact on the environment and it is indirectly reducing the emission of greenhouse gases. The operation of these two plants will reduce CO2 emissions by 1493 tons.
